AIMS
The primary purpose of the Falcons Society is to enable fellow golfers to meet and enjoy each other’s company, but also to play golf at good courses at reasonable prices and in addition, the society awards prize money to keep the golf competitive.
Wherever possible we will support the Llanishen G C professional, Adrian Jones by purchasing prizes/vouchers from him.
OFFICERS
Officers are elected initially for a period of three years.
If no other candidates comes forth after three years and if the official is willing to continue, they will be automatically re-elected.
CAPTAIN
A member appointed to lead the arrangements at all meetings, announce results, decide any contested disputes and rule amendments.
SECRETARY
A member appointed to organise events and keep the membership informed regarding all matters relating to the Society.
TREASURER
A member appointed to maintain the Society financial affairs and bank account.
WEB ADMINISTATOR
A member appointed to maintain and update the Web Site.
MEMBERSHIP
Members are drawn primarily, but not exclusively from the membership of Llanishen Golf Club.
The number of members at any time should be maintained above twenty members if possible, but no more than thirty, unless approved by the Captain
Nominations for membership will be put to the current members and preference will be given to those wishing to attend the annual tour.
There is an annual Prize Fund contribution to fund the prizes given at the day events and the overall Championship. The amount of the contribution is to be set each year.
A Joining Fee £10 is payable to cover deposits for course bookings. The fee is refundable upon the member leaving the Society.
The Society will maintain a bank account that has a signing mandate of 2 of the Society officers to sign. The account details are;

EVENTS
Annual Dinner - This is to be held in the early part of the year. Members are encouraged to invite a guest to accompany them to the Dinner.
The Captain will submit his report for the preceding year`s activities, and make the Annual Awards
Any new members will be welcomed to the Society.
The Secretary and the Treasurer will submit their reports for the year end.
By tradition, Adrian & Faye Jones will be invited to join us at the dinner, as our guests.
DAY EVENTS
There will be 8 meetings held annually, commencing on Good Friday and then on the first Friday monthly from May to November inclusive.
The courses are to be chosen following a 3-yearly vote by the members of their most favourite courses. Bookings are to be made in accordance with the result of the vote, to ensure that the most popular courses are played in the following 3-year period.
CHAMPIONSHIP
The Falcons Championship will be contested over seven events and the Champion will be the golfer with the highest aggregate stableford score from four of the seven events.
The order of play on each day event will be decided by a draw on the day of the event. The teams will consist of 3 or 4 players depending on the turnout of members, the teams consisting of 1 Low, 1 Medium and 1 High Handicap player wherever possible.
The teams will play eighteen holes to determine the winner and the runner up positions.
All players will mark a separate score card to be recorded for the Championship purposes. The scores to be marked under Stableford scoring conditions.
All events will be played in accordance with the R & A rules subject to the following Society Rules:-
The player/s with the best score from each Day Event will suffer a handicap reduction of one shot for the next event that the player attends.
The preceding season’s champion will suffer a handicap reduction of 1 shot for every Day Event.
The above Handicap reductions will only relate the member’s individual score, and not the team score.
Any twos scored in a round will earn the member Bonus Points for his score AND for his Team.
The Bonus Points will be weighted according to the player's handicap as follows;
Handicaps 0 to 10 ~ 1 pt
Handicaps 11 to 18 ~ 2 pts
Handicaps over 18 ~ 3 pts
These Bonus Points will be in addition to the normal points scored under the Stableford Scoring System.
Holes in one to count as 2 x 2s!
PRIZES
Day Events
Prize money for the Day Events is 48 split between the team members for first place and for second place.
The split depending on the numbers in each team.
(In the event of a tie the team with the best back nine will win the appropriate prize.)
Championship
The Championship will be decided on the aggregate of the best 4 scores from the season. Joint scores will share the Prize allocated for the appropriate placings.

Sixth place-10
Seventh place will receive a sleeve of golf balls.
Eighth place will receive a sleeve of golf balls.
The monetary prizes are to be in the form of vouchers to be obtained from Adrian Jones, Golf Professional.

Longest Drive / Nearest the pin - 3 golf balls
The Prize Fund may be slightly amended depending on the number of members contributing to the Prize Fund. This is to be decided by the officers of the Society.
Z4 TOUR
The prizes for the tour will be organised within the cost of the tour.
TROPHIES
The Champion Salver will be awarded to the player with the best four round aggregate over the course of the championship year.
The President`s Cup will be awarded to the winning team Member & Guest day
The Z4 Bowl will be awarded to the Tour Champion.
The Golfer of the Year to be decided by the captain at the Annual Dinner and awarded to a member who made a memorable impression during the year.
